This Hybrid wheelset was made for riders who are looking for the ultimate performance an eMTB wheelset can offer. Now with a carbon rim, the HXC 1501 SPLINE ONE becomes the high-end Hybrid MTB wheelset in the DT Swiss portfolio. The carbon rim is combined with a redesigned hub shell, offering better drive and brake moment resistance, which occurs from the bigger motors and the heavier eMTBs. With the new Ratchet EXP OS system with 30 teeth, the torque developed by the motor and the rider is transmitted directly from the pedals to the ground. This transfer is enabled through reinforced spokes for even sharper accelerations than the previous Hybrid range. Every component has been thought out, developed and tested to ensure a fun, stress-free ride at all levels.

steel freehub body The cassette interface of the freehub body is optimized with a specific hardened steel for the higher loads that occur on eMTBs.
ratchet exp os The Ratchet EXP OS features a bigger bearing and an increased number of teeth compared to the previous Hybrid freehub system.
brake interface The brake interface is available in Center Lock or IS (6 bolt).
spokes DT Hybrid 2 spokes are optimized and reinforced to increase the lateral and torsional stiffness of the wheel.

  • The current DT Swiss wheels are tubeless-ready and come with mounted tubeless rim tape and corresponding valves. For conversion, you will need a tubeless-capable tire (optimal: UST) and tire sealant. You can find both at an official dealer. Our How To video will take you through step-by-step assembly.

     

    If you have previously ridden your bike with a tube or if the tape no longer sticks properly to the rim, we recommend that you replace the rim tape as a precaution.

    How to attach the tubeless rim tape:

    1. Measure the inside width of the rim.

    2. The tubeless rim tape should be approx. 2 mm wider than the rim and can be bought from a specialist store.

    3. Apply the tubeless rim tape. Depending on the rim/tire combination, it may be helpful to apply two or three layers of tubeless rim tape to optimally seal the rim bed.
