Please describe here in brief what your activities were during your traineeship
I developed and implemented a new test stand in the Engineering Wheels department. The traineeship covered the creation of concepts, the construction of parts using CAD software, the assembling of the test stand, as well as the data evaluation.
How did you become aware of the traineeship at DT Swiss?
I became aware of DT Swiss as an employer through their excellent reputation in the bike sector and through my own interest in the development work regarding bikes.
What makes DT Swiss different from other employers?
In the DT family, I felt at home from the very beginning and quickly found new friends. The social exchange, the willingness of colleagues to help you out and, of course, the work-ride balance make DT Swiss a fantastic company.
What were you able to take from your time at DT Swiss?
I learned how to better assess projects and their required effort, to set realistic goals and achieve these efficiently.
What was your personal highlight during your traineeship?
For me, the highlights were, on one hand, the constant exchange with my colleagues about current projects, and on the other hand, the many activities outside of official working times: the Christmas party, fondue night, film night, and not to forget – the Mont Chasseral race!
And what does the time after your traineeship hold in store for you?
I will complete a second traineeship before committing myself to the Master’s study at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich. The insight I gained at DT Swiss was exciting and I am looking forward to staying in contact with my new colleagues and staying up-to-date about more challenges at DT Swiss
