My DT Swiss component does not work as it should. What can I do?
You have a few choices:
  • Contact a DT Swiss service center via mail or phone. The service technician can tell you what to do.
  • Show your component to your dealer. Maybe he can tell you what the reason for the malfunction is. If the component is still under warranty, your dealer has to send the component to the next DT Swiss service center.
  • Send the component to the next DT Swiss service center. You will get information about the issue as soon as possible.
What are the warranty terms?
Warranty for Europe

In addition to the general guarantee required by law, DT Swiss AG based in Biel/Switzerland,
provides a guarantee for 24 months from the date of purchase in accordance with European
Directive 99/44/EC. DT Swiss AG shall reject any liability for both indirect damage caused by accidents
and consequential damage.
Any contradictory or extended national rights of the purchaser are not affected by this warranty.
Place of performance and jurisdiction is Biel/Switzerland. Swiss law shall apply.
Submit any warranty claims to your retailer or a DT Swiss Service Centre. Any defects recognised
by DT Swiss AG as a warranty claim will be repaired or replaced by a DT Swiss Service Centre.
Warranty and guarantee claims can only be made by the original purchaser with a valid sales
receipt.
There shall be no claim under the guarantee for:
  • Normal wear and tear caused by use of the components
  • Incorrect assembly
  • Incorrect or non-existent maintenance
  • Incorrectly completed repairs
  • Use of unsuitable products
  • Modification of components
  • Incorrect use or misuse
  • Carelessness
  • Leasing, commercial use or use in competitions
  • Damage caused by accidents
  • Delivery and transport damage
  • Modification, defacing or removal of the serial number

Warranty for the USA

DT Swiss LTD makes every effort to assure that its product meets high quality and durability
standards and warrants to the original retail consumer/purchaser of our product that each
product is free from defects in materials and workmanship as follows:
2 YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY ON THIS DT SWISS PRODUCT. This warranty does not apply to
defects due directly or indirectly to misuse, abuse, negligence or accidents, repairs or alterations
outside our facilities or to a lack of maintenance.
DT SWISS LTD LIMITS ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES TO THE PERIOD OF TWO YEARS FROM THE
DATE OF INITIAL PURCHASE AT RETAIL. EXCEPT AS STATED HEREIN, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES
OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS ARE EXCLUDED. SOME STATES MAY NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS
ON HOW LONG THE IMPLIED WARRANTY LASTS, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATION MAY NOT
APPLY TO YOU. DT SWISS LTD SHALL IN NO EVENT BE LIABLE FOR DEATH, INJURIES TO PEOPLE
OR PROPERTY OR FOR INCIDENTAL, CONTINGENT, SPECIAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES
ARISING FROM THE USE OF OUR PRODUCTS. SOME STATES MAY NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION
OR LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATION OR
EXCLUSION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
To take advantage of this warranty, the product or part must be returned for examination, postage
prepaid, to the dealer where you bought the product or to a DT Swiss Service Centre. Proof
of purchase date and an explanation of the complaint must accompany the product. If our
inspection discloses a defect, DT Swiss will either repair or replace the product or refund the
purchase price, if we cannot readily and quickly provide a repair or replacement. DT Swiss will
return repaired product or replacement at DT Swiss expense, but if it is determined there is no
defect, or that the defect resulted from causes not within the scope of this warranty, then the
user must bear the cost of shipping. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may
also have other rights which vary from state to state. Legal venue and place of performance is
Biel (Switzerland). Swiss law shall apply. Subject to technical changes. Please keep the user manual
and warranty for future use.
What do I have to do if I want my component to be serviced?
You can send your component to your dealer or to the next DT Swiss service center. The sender has to take over the costs for shipping and packaging.

The component must be clean, and all parts (tires, brake discs...) must be dismounted.
A description of the problem or the desired service works and a contact information must be attached. Therefore, use the service form (see Service Videos & Documents for the desired component and choose the tab "SERVICE FORMS"). If desired, a cost estimate can be done before starting the service works.

After finishing the service works, the component will be send back with an invoice of the service works including the needed spare parts and the shipping costs.
How long does a service take?
The duration of a service depends on the workload of the service center. Under normal conditions the service works will be finished within 3 to 5 workdays.

In urgent cases you can ask the service center for an time estimation.
How much will a service cost?
The service costs depend on the works which have to be carried out.
There are standard costs for specific service works. These can be requested at your dealer or at your DT Swiss service center.
Why is my email not answered immediately?
We endeavor to answer your request as fast as possible. All mails will be answered within 24 hours.
How often is a service necessary?
We recommend an anual service of all DT Swiss components. This function-conserving service prevents potential damages or functional loss.
In case of malfunctions due to lack of maintenance, a warranty claim can be rejected  from DT Swiss
How long is the warranty period?
DT Swiss guarantees the function of the component for 24 months. This warranty is linked with some restrictions (see What are the warranty terms?).
I want to carry out service works on my own. Is this possible?
Yes you can carry out all service works on your own. Please note that special tools are needed for most components. If the component is still under warranty, the warranty will expire herewith.
Where can I get OEM spare parts?
DT Swiss produces special parts for several manufacturers. These manufacturers are responsible for the storage of the spare parts. If required, please contact your OEM service.
Alternatively, the OEM products can be serviced with original DT Swiss spare parts. These can differ slightly from the OEM spare part (color, stickers...).
What do I have to do if I want my OEM component to be serviced?
The OEM manufacturer is responsible for the service. Please contact your OEM manufacturer for more information.
I can't find my OEM component on the homepage or in the DT Swiss catalog. Where can I get information?
For information about your OEM component please contact your OEM manufacturer.
I want to convert the axle of my hub. Is that possible?
Most of the DT Swiss hubs are convertible. You can find all information in the techbook or the catalog.
Can I convert my fork for remote operation (or vice versa)?
