The XMC 1200 SPLINE® is for anyone who enjoys high-speed climbing and descending: the hookless design allows super-precise construction of the rim for perfect tubeless compatibility. It massively reduces the chance of punctures, is very low in weight and achieves excellent tire support with the 24 mm rim width. The new SPLINE® hub is the lightest wheel hub ever built by DT Swiss. Together with the DT aerolite® and DT aero comp® spokes and a high-quality wheel construction, it is the ideal complement to the high-end rim, resulting in the ultimate trailbike wheel – the XMC 1200 SPLINE®. Equipped with the 36T DT Swiss Ratchet System for quicker engagement, it is made for powerful acceleration and demanding technical trails.

Functions

  • Bladed
    The centre piece of these spokes is bladed to achieve aerodynamic properties. It is possible to combine butted with bladed to meet even higher demands on strength and low weight.
  • Boost
    Boost compatible hubs have an enhanced flange distance. This has significant advantages: a flatter spoke angle and improved symmetry allow building a stiffer and stronger wheel, always an advantage, but especially for larger diameter wheels in challenging terrain.
  • Carbon
    Being a high-tech composite material consisting of fibres and resin, carbon can be used to resist the exact forces it is subjected to. This enables engineers to design parts with an unmatched strength to weight ratio.
  • Center lock<sup>®</sup>
    Brake rotor mounting system licensed by Shimano.
  • Double butted
    These spokes have two different diameters. A section of this spoke is butted through cold forging. This creates a smaller diameter. Therefore, this thinner piece allows reducing the weight while improving ductility.
  • Hookless
    The hookless design allows super-precise construction of carbon rims for perfect tubeless compatibility. The wider, hookless rim flange massively reduces the chance of punctures. And as it is possible to maintain a very thin wall for the rest of the rim profile, it still remains very light.
  • IS (6-bolt)
    International rotor mounting standard using 6 bolts.
  • No tool
    No special tools needed for routine maintenance.
  • Prolock<sup>®</sup>
    A patented liquid injected into the nipple thread allows for extremely durable wheel builds.
  • Ratchet system<sup>®</sup>
    This patented freewheel system uses precision ratchets, featuring extremely high load capacity and reliability. The no tool concept allows for an easy execution of routine maintenance.
  • Spline
    SPLINE® wheel technology is about details. Combining new straight pull hubs with our legendary Ratchet System® and a modern appearance gives DT Swiss additional high performance wheels to our lineup. Riders will feel the added stiffness from straight pull spokes and the aggressive design characteristics. Stiff, responsive, SPLINE®. Available for Road and MTB.
  • Straightpull
    To achieve an ideal ratio of weight and stability, many DT Swiss wheels have straight pull spokes. Straight pull spokes do not need the bend in the spoke and therefore, they eliminate a weak spot. Despite this, they can be adjusted and replaced using standard tools.
  • Thru axle 15
    A thru axle connection is not compatible with the quick release standard. Thru axles are always an integrated part of the frame or fork. The diameter of the axle is generally 20 or 15 mm at the front and 12 mm at the rear.
  • Thru axle front Predictive Steering
    Predictive Steering is a thru axle standard developed by Sram. The compatible DT Swiss components are designed for the highest possible system stiffness of fork and wheel while being as light as possible. This is achieved by a massively increased surface between hub and dropout, an extremely torsionally stiff axle and wide spaced spoke flanges. Predictive Steering components are only compatible with Rock Shox RS-1 forks.
  • Tubeless ready
    Tubeless ready rims are designed for use with tubeless kits and tubeless compatible tires. With the correct kit and tubeless compatible tires, the tubeless ready rims make for simple and quick tubeless setups.
  • Thru axle RW 12
    The 12mm-system is as stiff as a normal thru axle but at the same time as user friendly and lightweight as a conventional quick release.
