Markus Stöckl sets new high speed world record for stock bikes in Chile.
On the steep (45° incline!) and 2000 m long slope in the Chilean Andes Markus Stöckl from Austria set a new record at 210 km/h. Beating his own record from 1999 by 23 km/h, and coming real close to the record set by Eric Barone on a prototype bike at 222 km/h.
He was using DT Swiss's EX 5.1d rims and 440 freeride hubs, all stock parts, so no excuses any more....
